Bushiroad has gone so far as to plaster up adverts for their second "Milky Holmes" VN on the Yamanote - which I found a littleĠ1.
RUNE FACTORY 2 AQUAMARINE SOFTWARE
(Amusingly, PSP software is still pretty prevalent in advertisement. Because damn if it isn't invisible otherwise - even a lot of storefronts aren't bothering to advertise the fact that they have it up front. The Vita isn't exactly going to gain traction if that's all the advertising SCEJ is doing for it. It was being peddled as something of an Otaku Dream Device.

There the adverts were advertising its ability to stream anime, even more than any game focus. The one and only time I have seen the Vita advertised in a place that is not an actual storefront was at the train station which services the Tokyo Big Sight convention center, where Comiket is held. 3DS adverts are on TV, they're on the street, they're in store windows. Still not as many as DSes (natch), but enough to notice. So I've seen 3DS adverts in a lot of places they're plastered all over the Yamanote Line (the most active commuter train line in Japan) and I've seen a fair number of 3DSes in the wild. It is an anecdote and isn't absolute gospel truth for everywhere in Japan, but I do find it interesting. So I'm in Japan right now, and I thought I'd share a little anecdote about the 3DS and Vita.
